Follow-up observation of a novel repeating FRB detected by CHIME

Abstract

The origin of fast radio bursts (FRBs) remains a headlining astronomical mystery. FRB 20220912A is a very actively repeating FRB observed by CHIME/FRB on 2022-09-12 at 400 MHz. CHIME discovered 9 bursts in three days and predicts the burst rate to be as high as 200-300 bursts/day. Here, we propose GBT follow-up observations of this novel repeating FRB.
