Evaluating PTA-Suitability for Four New MSPs

Abstract

The primary way pulsar timing arrays (PTAs) can improve their sensitivity to gravitational waves is by adding high quality millisecond pulsars (MSPs) to the array. Here, we propose high-cadence, then monthly follow-up observations for four new, promising MSPs in order to develop coherent timing solutions and assess their suitability for PTAs (e.g. NANOGrav).
