NGC3079 and NGC4258 are the strongest nearby H2O MegaMaser sources that fall within the redshift observing windows of RadioAstron. Observations at higher resolutions than provided by terrestrial baselines will determine the highest brightness temperatures of masering spots in those galaxies, their spatial structure,
and the variation of the brightness temperature with resolution. This information is required for a detailed understanding of the physics of masers and the conditions for forming maser spots.
