Bistatic observations of 2006 SX217

Abstract

We propose to receive radar signals at S-band transmitted from Arecibo on Wed. April 23 from 15:51-18:28 UT. This is a very large (1200m diameter) near-Earth asteroid, potentially hazardous. We expect that these images will be at 15m resolution, over a thousand pixels, which will give a detailed picture of the nature of this object.
